About Me
So, who am I?
This is a tricky question to answer as I’m not entirely sure who I am. In fact, all I’m certain of is that I’m not quite the same person now as I was when I was younger. (Great opening Capt. Obvious!)
How I think of myself:
* Honest
* Hardworking (sometimes to a fault)
* Loving
* Caring
* A Christian
* A curmudgeon
* Loyal
* Dedicated
* A little Lazy
* Over weight
* A Geek
* A Techie – Techie is a term, derivative of the word technology, for a person who displays a great, sometimes even obsessive, interest in technology, high-tech devices, and computers.
How my friends think of me:
ALL OF THE ABOVE!
My social views are conservative and my politics are for strict interpretations of the Constitution, smaller government control, less regulation in industry, and an upholding of Christian values.
I’ve lived in various locations Around the World but have lived most of my life in Mississippi. I’ve lived in Wichita KS, Madrid Spain, Miami FL, Minot ND, Meridian MS, Biloxi MS, Atlanta GA and Clinton MS. I’ve also traveled to see different parts of this World such as Shemya AL, Zurich Switzerland, Frankfurt Germany, Adana Turkey, Istanbul Turkey and I’ve spent more time in Louisiana than I ever care too.
Other than this, I’m a fully-fledged member of Generation X and a cynic living in a world that swings between unbelievable naivety and utter paranoia. If it is a fashion then I don’t want to follow it, and if it is a trend then you can be sure that it won’t represent me, unless it is techie.
Why am I blogging?
As anybody who reads my blog regularly will know I write mostly about nothing in particular. I started the site as a journal to keep up with the upgrade/repairs on my 1997 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. I LOVED THAT CAR! Now I just write about stuff that I see, like or experience.
I have seen things that most people never get to see, and experience events from a perspective that most people do not realize exists. I probably should create a new category and write about them.
After Thoughts
I’m not getting paid for this blog and you don’t have to read what I am writing if you don’t like it.
